Sawdust Sessions | Selwyn & Amina

Musical top talent on stage during Sawdust Sessions.

Every first Sunday of the month, Tim Dawn programs two fellow musicians for the Sawdust Sessions in the sawmill of Molen de Ster. This first edition, it is Selwyn and Amina who will shine on stage.

Selwyn  is a singer-songwriter and TikTok sensation who is called the biggest upcoming talent in the Netherlands by Edwin Evers. Armed with a piano and a mouth-watering voice, Selwyn leaves his audience speechless everywhere he goes. Since his song ‘Suddenly Forever’ went viral on TikTok, his career has accelerated.

Amina is an artist and singer who searches for the balance between attitude and vulnerability in her honest lyrics and performances. After supporting acts for Maan, Meau and Roxeanne Hazes, she released her debut EP ‘Is Dit Geluk?’ in March 2024, followed by her very first tour with full halls in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Every first Sunday of the month Tim Dawn programs two fellow musicians for the Sawdust Sessions in the sawmill of Molen de Ster. During this second edition Maryn Charlie & Martin Jasper will be on stage.

Maryn Charlie is an indie/alt-pop singer-songwriter who expresses the inner struggles of Gen Z in an infectious and very personal way. Her debut EP ‘Life is Overwhelming’ was released in 2022 and she has already shown on many stages that she feels at home with her audience. With her latest EP ‘Out of the Blue’ she toured the Netherlands last year as a support act for the band Rondé.

Martin Jasper is a constantly renewing singer-songwriter who does not shy away from personal themes and difficult subjects. Martin was discovered in Los Angeles, but despite that, his success did not come without setbacks. Despite the obstacles he sometimes encounters, he is determined to share his music with his audience.

Every first Sunday of the month Tim Dawn programs two fellow musicians for the Sawdust Sessions in the sawmill of Molen de Ster. For the fourth edition Áslaug & Melanie Ryan will show their the musical talents.

Áslaug Unique Icelandic-Utrecht alt-pop singer with recognizable lyrics that uses dynamic drums, melancholic melodies, layered synths and gritty earcandy. In 2025, Áslaug is on the eve of the release of her very first album Catharsis, in which Áslaug wants to remind listeners of the power of showing your vulnerable sides.

Melanie Ryan is an infectious dream chaser who wants to bring her interwoven mix of pop, country and folk with the real Nashville-style storytelling to a wider audience. In 2024 she participated in the pop round and was the opening act for the American country pop star Dasha.

Sawdust Sessions | Melle & Rachèl Louise

Top musical talent on stage during Sawdust Sessions.

Every first Sunday of the month, Tim Dawn programs two fellow musicians for the Sawdust Sessions in the sawmill of Molen de Ster. During this third edition, Melle & Rachèl Louise will show their talents.

Melle is an authentic and unpolished singer and multi-instrumentalist with an ever-growing collection of instruments. In his songs he highlights both the joys and challenges of relationships and shows his views on the problems of contemporary society, such as capitalism and inequality.

Rachèl Louise is a Utrecht-American singer-songwriter with heartfelt lyrics and universal appeal. She made her debut with the piano song “At The Disco”, in which she honestly expressed her ADD struggles. Her second EP, “Big Girls” (2017), made with Odd Martin Skålnes and Magnus Skylstad (AURORA), brought her international recognition and tours with AURORA, Racoon and BLØF. On Mother’s Day 2024, the piano song “Perfect Mother” was released, an ode to motherhood and the precursor to a new EP, planned for 2025. With her heartfelt lyrics and emotional music, Rachèl Louise remains a unique voice in Dutch music.

Sawdust Sessions | Philine & Joe Buck

Musical top talent on stage during Sawdust Sessions.

Every first Sunday of the month Tim Dawn programs two fellow musicians for the Sawdust Sessions in the sawmill of Molen de Ster. This last edition features musical talents Philine and Joe Buck.

Philine is a singer with international allure, who transforms her vivid fantasies and emotions into magical melodies. With her debut EP ‘So sick of myself’ she already collected more than half a million streams and was played on major Dutch radio stations. Her new EP ‘The side effects of living in a fantasy’, mixed by Matt Wiggins (Adele, Florence + The Machine, Lorde), shows her growth as an artist.

Joe Buck is a pure singer who writes pop songs with a lot of honesty and emotion, influenced by folk and country music. In 2017 he graduated from the Rock Academy in Tilburg and immediately afterwards Joe signed his first deal with Ilse DeLange. Shortly after that he scored his first hit with ‘The Way You Take Time’ which later became a gold record. After a period out of the spotlight, Joe Buck made an impressive comeback in 2024 with the single ‘weed & videogames’, in which he sings about a dark period in his life.
