Top musical talent on stage during Sawdust Sessions.

Every first Sunday of the month, Tim Dawn programs two fellow musicians for the Sawdust Sessions in the sawmill of Molen de Ster. During this third edition, Melle & Rachèl Louise will show their talents.

Melle is an authentic and unpolished singer and multi-instrumentalist with an ever-growing collection of instruments. In his songs he highlights both the joys and challenges of relationships and shows his views on the problems of contemporary society, such as capitalism and inequality.

Rachèl Louise is a Utrecht-American singer-songwriter with heartfelt lyrics and universal appeal. She made her debut with the piano song “At The Disco”, in which she honestly expressed her ADD struggles. Her second EP, “Big Girls” (2017), made with Odd Martin Skålnes and Magnus Skylstad (AURORA), brought her international recognition and tours with AURORA, Racoon and BLØF. On Mother’s Day 2024, the piano song “Perfect Mother” was released, an ode to motherhood and the precursor to a new EP, planned for 2025. With her heartfelt lyrics and emotional music, Rachèl Louise remains a unique voice in Dutch music.
